Tadanori Yokoo is a Japanese graphic designer, illustrator, printmaker and painter. In the sixties Yokoo created a series of animated short films.
Here’s one example of Tadanori Yokoo’s filmwork, “Kachi Kachi Yama” (1965). The film is bright and illustrative, typical of the Yokoo style.
There’s a somewhat stochastic approach to soundtracking in the film, which I find a bit jarring, but it works well enough with the visual design of the film.
