Viking Eggeling’s film Symphonie Diagonale was created with paper cut-outs and tin foil figures photographed one frame at a time.

The film was completed in 1924 and first shown privately on November 5th.

On Mar 3rd 1925 it was presented to the public in Germany. Sixteen days later Eggeling died in Berlin.
